It's in my bedroom and I don't want to replace it.

Also, it makes a strange noise whenever it's running.
How can I fix that?

Cheaply made fans will tend to make noise due to the quality (or lack thereof) of the motor. A contributer to the noise can also be the decorative glass pieces around the light bulbs. try turning them a 1/8 inch or so. Or it could be the entire light mount unit that may be loose.

As for the speed, you probably have a 3 speed motor and the fan will only spin as fast as mechanically possible in the fastest setting. If this is not fast enough, then you made need to replace it with something more to your liking.

You are aware there should be a pull chain coming out of the side, which you pull on to select the motor speeds right?

Edit: $40 will get you an "okay" fan (3 speeds and light kit) from Walmart.

Its plausible that it became into stressed incorrectly yet while the different followers in the residing house are stressed properly then (without being waiting to confirm it) I’d assume that your mattress room fan became into additionally. and because you recognize the thank you to function the different followers, even so i assume your working the mattress room fan properly too. That Leaves the Fan Itself, Which likely is the “velocity administration swap" in the Fan. If it’s the main severe fan in the residing house then Its Been Operated the main and has in all probability long previous undesirable.

THE MOTOR IS GONE THAT IS WHERE THE STRANGE NOISE IS COMMING FROM. YOU CAN TAKE IT INTO A ELECTRIC SMALL MOTOR SHOP AND HAVE IT REBUILT FOR ABOUT $40
