I would not be surprised. He is pro-illegal immigration. He voted to give them SS benefits while serving in Illinois Senate. He voted for the Amnesty bill and the Dream Act. He co-sponsored an amendment to the amnesty bill saying employers would not have to check the legal status of their present employees only new ones.

He voted against having a stronger border. Just like other Democrats, he counts on illegal immigrants being future Democrat voters.
