Hahahahahahahaha
You would both lose and gain.
You would gain universal healthcare, a passport that people around the world respect, likely a democrat for president in perpetuity, the ability to secure your northern border and great fishing.
You would lose the right to own handguns just for fun and the ability to invade countries arbitrarily on a president's whim.
But you're right, it won't happen.

My my my,another monumentally sarcastic ignorant, offensive, beligerent American idiot that personifies the UGLY AMERICAN.
And you lot wonder why you are so justifiably and universally hated .
When one includes the Tar Sands (and fools like you don't even know what these are ),it is possible that CANADA has the largest known reserves of oil in the world.
http://www.guardian.co.uk/environment/2007/oct/30/energy.oilandpetrol
We also have the world's largest supply of fresh water .
These two items alone are what increasingly friggin UGLY AMERICANS LIKE YOU are desperate for but I hope all CANADIANS remember UGLY AMERICANS like you when you come begging for oil and fresh water and give YOU the FINGER as YOU give us.
We also fully realize that as you have proven clearly that you war mongers can wage an illegal war of choice all based upon a pack of filthy lies that has resulted in the slaughter of over 400,000 innocent Iraqi civilians, you morallly hypocritical Christian and bankrupt perpetrators of crimes against humanity will have no problem whatsover in carpet bombing and slaughtering Canadians to get at OUR oil and OUR fresh water as you have done in all these cases:

Canada has many natural resources and common values. I wouldn't have a problem with a union of only the US and Canada. We could get better leadership.

The U.S. would probably be more powerful by way of having more natural resources after uniting w/ Canada.

We already have enough "hell no, we won't fight" crybabies in our own country. We would not be more powerful if we absorbed another 30million liberals who wish to be led and cared for by their government!
