What myths or folktales or things to symbolize things such as courage and such do Americans have????
I know we're a young country, but do we have anyt myths and folk tales.... The Jade stone means luck in china..... what means what in the US?

Keep in mind that America as we know it today is only a little over 200 years old. Countries like China, most European nations, and other countries have been around for well over thousands and thousands of years. The first Americans were immigrants from Europe, mainly England. The only "old" Americans are the Native American Indians who occupy the land here. Everyone else is a hodgepode of different culture.

If you want to find out myths of Americans, the closest you can find is the Native American myths. The other option is to look at European Myths, because that is where most American bloodline traces back.
