As we all know white kids buy most rap cd's. At my school or even on youtube and ect
when i look at videos and read the comments some cacuasion people get mad, when rappers use certain lyrics. Some say that rappers shouldn't say certain things and what they say should be more diverse for example some causican people get offended with lyrics like these?

"Drug dealers buy Jordans, crackheads buy crack
But the white man get paid off of all a dat"

"That's why I hear new music
And I just don't be feeling it
Racism still alive they just be concealing it"

"hese are the days of our lifes
And I'm sorry to the fans but the crackers weren't playing fair Jive"

These are a few lines i feel like putting up^^^

What i'm trying to say is that some Caucasian people who listen to rap think
rappers shouldn't say stuff like that because Caucasian people listen to it too?

What are your thoughts on this?
Please stay on this topic.

No they shouldnt...a lot of what they are hearing is the truth being told...thats why they are trying to soften it up..and are all of a sudden so appalled...lol If it wasnt going on then they wouldnt have that to rap about,lol...Real rappers rap about what they know. Some white ppl have no idea of these reality...thats why they are upset now at the lyrics and videos...but they are the ones supporting it.
For white ppl it has nothing to do with them not being racist...Hip hop/rap is just a fad/cool to tryn be black thing for yall...Half of them dont understand what they are listening to first of all and they dont live this type of life to understand it...So a lot of them bash it...Rap has always expressed this...And it shouldnt change because all of a sudden their kids wanna listen to it.

Actually alot of the lines you posted aren't racist.when kanye says "Drug dealers buy Jordans, crackheads buy crack
But the white man get paid off of all a dat"
He isn't talking about the everyday hard working middle class white person I think he's talking about politicians and the white house because I know I don't make any money off anyone. And if kanye was racist which i highly doubt he wouldn't have room to talk considering he comes from a middle class family just like the majority of white kids. But I agree with what someone else said hip-hop should stay where it's roots are the innercity if you are from the burbs you usually can't say much unless you make club bangas because there isn't anything happening in the burbs. It's just all fun and games alot of the rhymes you think are racist really have no theory they are just for entertainment.Like 50 says I got more whips then a runaway slave he isn't racist thats just you know what i mean.

Should women get mad when they call them bitches? It's the same thing, rappers aren't referring to all white people, just certain ones.

Ras Kass had some racist *** **** on his album Soul On Ice, but I doubt he hates white people if he did a track with Jedi Mind Tricks.
If they are racist then it would be different, but few rappers are known racists (besides Lauryn Hill, but a lot of her tracks don't comment on that type of stuff)

I think Dead Prez is racist though.

I don't know about "a lot of them bashing it," when the majority of people who listen to hip-hop are white, including the majority of people who listen to underground hip-hop.

The majority of people who listen to rap aren't even listening to (or can't even understand) the lyrics. Most rap fans just care about the beat, not the words.

My mother, for example, will occasionally by a rap song (lord knows why) and when she gets the cd, she's disgusted by the lyrics. She didn't seem to hear them when she was listening to the song while driving her car and bopping her head up and down to the beat.

Anyway, it's pretty stupid if a white kid's going to by a rap cd that has a lot of antiwhite lyrics. I'm black and I don't go around buying anti-black skinhead music. If i did decide to buy it, I woudn't ***** about it and expect them to change.

well at least I'm not racist, but unfortunately a lot of white people are racist and if they weren't then why would the rappers be putting that in their own lyrics?
there is much discrimination in the so-called justice department, especially with police treating black people unfairly which is totally wrong

I think that if you don't like the music don't listen to it (period) If someone don't agree with something they have a right to say so; but keep in mind these are "artist" ...which are expressing themselves. People are literally trying to blame Hip Hop music for everything. Like Akon say "You can put the blame on me"...Hip Hop music can't stop; they gonna keep it coming man...

I dont get offended by it all, you really have to take it in context, after all it is only a song and theyre just trying to voice theyre opinion. Youve also got to remember that some of it is true, there still are alot of racist people (even though they may be in the minority)

maybe because the white people that listen to rap aren't racist against black people, but then they hear the lyrics and realize that those black people are being racist towards white people. thats one of the biggest problems with racism, people get mad when their race is being talked about but they can easily talk about someone else and its funny.

well...if Imus can have his freedom and speech and call some young women a bunch of nappy headed hoes, and if that bounty hunter cat can sustain his freedom of speech and express his thoughts about african-americans (whether that be in private or public) then by all means, rappers should say Whatever they want...they cant cater their music to a certain group of people just to make them happy
