I fell backwards (tripping over a stool) while trying to hang shower curtains. I hit my head but it was nothing serious. Felt so foolish.

March, 2006.

I've had spinal problems for years, but just kept going, going, going. Flare-up every once in a while, but bounced back.

This fall didn't let me bounce back. I'm totally disabled from it. It was bound to happen though. My Orthopod found so much wrong (8 separate things) that he told the court that I just would not get any better than I am right now. So, I live from day to day, learning new ways to do things and without anger. This is just life. The body gave out******but the mind's still ALIVE*****!

I was putting skirting around my 8 X 30 travel trailer that I live in. I had to move my tiny porch out of the way to skirt where it was at. I didn't get the job finished before dark, so the porch stayed away from the trailer for the night. Well I had to go take care of my dogs (after it was dark) I forgot the porch wasn't there and was stepping down to nothing. I fell out the door and ended up on my hands and knees. Glad it was dark so nobody could see me. That was about a week ago. I did get all the skirting done on the trailer this last weekend.

Our small town police department was throwing a picnic at the park for good relations. I had been suffering from fibromynalga, but wanted to go. As I got out of the car and stepped onto the sidewalk, I was fine. But the grass was old and thick, it was about 3" above the sidewalk when I tripped over it, fell on my hands and rolled over on my back. My fibromylgia is better, but my hands never healed. I may have injured them more. I have an appointment with a surgeon for my carpal tunnel syndrome on Monday.

I had a vertigo attack about four years ago. My then cat at the time actually screamed when I fell trying to get to my bedroom and I hit the door . Blackened both my eyes. My nose had a contusion or two as did my chin . Had to crawl to the kitchen with the cat not letting me out of her sight and drank some oj because I hadn't been diabetic very long at that point and thought it might be related to that.

I 'm sure my friends and store clerks thought I'd been beat up. No concusion thank god but the vision which is already blurry was even more so.

Found out later it was medication related, we cut that one out.

Poor Kitty never got over it . When I sat down in a chair she plonked herself on my lap and put her paws around my waist from then on , to protect me I think.

They cakked an ambulance and I had splintered my ankle and needed an open reduction,I have 8 pins and a plate in it,and it still aches and have less mobility in it,but I had rehab etc. at the time and at least I'm walking, once in a while a get a pain in it while walking but after stopping for several minutes it seems to go away.

A few years ago I fell down some stairs when I got up in
the middle of the night to let the dog out. I tripped on the
bottom step going down. I broke a bone in my foot. Hasn't
been quite the same since.

Last week - I fell out of bed! I was having a nightmare - Kevin Costner was trying to make love to me! (Oooo Me Gosh) - the shock was obviously too much for this 66 year old - awoke - tumbled to the floor and banged head on end table and shoulder on bed stool! No major damage done!
LOL CJ

About five years ago I slipped on an icy spot on the porch and broke my left shoulder. I had just come home from seeing Tom Hanks in "Castaway" and winced every time he got hurt in the movie. It took a long time to recover from this. Every time I see that this movie is on tv I remember that day.
Early last year I tore the rotator cuff on my right shoulder. Another very painful memory.

Last night. I was sitting here on the computer with my legs crossed and when I stood up I went straight down. My leg had fallen asleep.
Last week I fell going up the concrete stairs to my apartment busting my chin and hitting my head on the steps. No stitches required. LOL
