anything your life depends on (pacemaker, parachute, oxygen, heart)
anesthesia would be pretty bad if it stopped working, computer would be bad if you were typing a huge document (i had that happen in the middle of my fifth page the power went off) a flashlight would suck, hair dryer, a pen (especially in the middle of a test b/c if you reach in your bag to get a new one they'll think you're cheating!)

Airplane. And for that matter, I would also hate it if the guy sitting next to me had his airplane stop working.
