If you are in a relationship for a few years....?

And you are happy, but your guy doesn't speak of a future ie. living together marriage.. do you stick with him or do you move on?

I'm 27 he's 28 we've been together on and off for 3.5 yrs

we are happy together, he's not financially ready.. but are we all ever? lol

you ask him where he sees himself being in 2 - 3 - 5 years; if your name along with wife doesn't come up.....you move on



if he doesn't talk about a future with you.....it is more than because of financial stability.....don't fool yourself

I'd say move on... my husband and I were together as bf's for 6 1/2 years until i gave him an ultimatum and told him that it was a long time already, if he wanted to settle down or i was going to move on. He wouldn't talk about the future either but once i told him that he decided it was time already too. We are 8 months married with a baby on the way...

If I'm in a relationship for a few months and there's no talk about the future, I either treat it as a relationship of convenience and move on when I found something better, or I simply move on once I'm bored. I wouldn't treat a relationship seriously UNLESS there was talk about the future within the first 2-4 months.

You're living together and he's not financially ready? Oh please. He's just not ready for you. He's hoping to find someone else and doesn't know how to tell you. It's time for you to take care of you and stop taking care of this big baby. Move out. Maybe he'll be financially ready for being alone since he can live with you but not be financially ready to marry you.

Move on. If you've been together for that long... there better be some kind of commitment coming your way. Talk to him first, tell him what you want for the future, and see if you are on the same page. If he wont talk about it or isn't on the same page... at least you are not wasting anymore of your time.

wellllll, does he have an education and a career? if he does not he may never ever be ready, that is, ready to commit and take care of a family. i see tons of guys this age in suspended childhood and they have no intention of ever growing up. ask him directly. if you dont have shared goals you will wonder in 10 years where your youth went and why you are still alone but still dating him. if you have the same goals you are working for and toward, you know you are going to marry and when. if he waffles, it means he does not want to get married. and if you want a real grown man, it wont be him, probably,

If he wants to live with you only and you want to get married and have a family, you ask him and tell him if he wants to get married. If he says that he is not interest or not ready after all those years living together with you, give him the boot and find someone who want to marry you.

If you are happy the way things are then just be happy. You do not want to force this guy into marrying you. He will resent you later on. How old are you? If you are under the age of 27 I say just have fun you have plenty of time getting married later on.

Bring it up, ask him where he sees himslef in a year or so. Tell him you are interested in commitment, even if just start out living together. Don't give up, especially if everything else in the relationship is good!
