How is the price of gasoline staying relatively low compared to the record-setting price per barrel of crude oil?

Yes, it is true, the price of gas is not pretty. But we all know it has been higher. Furthermore, it has been higher at times when the price of crude oil was lower. And we have all seen the price of gas jump quite a bit when an event happens that might result in the price of crude oil going up in the future, but has not had the chance to go up yet.

No idea but I'm not looking a gift horse in the mouth, just keep on praying that it stays low.

Oil companies are still selling off inventories they made earlier.

Oil price is for oil poured into tanker ship in the middle east. So it takes a few weeks for expensive oil to reach the fuel pump.

.Don't know where you live or what you consider "low". but where I go to college, the price jumped from $3.09 to $3.24 within the matter of 2 weeks. Here where I live, the gas is around $2.95 a gallon. It had been lower about a month or two ago - but not anymore!!!!!
