Hopefully, you obtain the person's insurance and did not proscratinate in visiting the ER. You are covered if it is the other person's fault. If you failed to go to the ER in a timely manner your might forefeit some of your rights to treatment as it becomes harder to prove that pain was cause from accident. Also with treatment at the ER you have documentation stating claims to your maladies. Make sure to take pictures, lots of pics in case it is needed to prove your case. Consult a lawyer if you have yet to receive proper treatment.

You will get money to cover your medical bills and time missed from work. As far as pain and suffering, it all depends. First of all, when was the accident? Are you still hurting? Have you sought medical attention? Are you still deeking medical help?

If you have not gone to the doctor then more than likely you will not get anything for pain and suffering as no one can prove your pain.

Just from what you described, it does not sound like you were very seriously injured, which will mean minimal pain and suffering payment if any at all.

A piece advice though, if you are still hurt, don't settle with the insurance company. I was in an accident in December, but didn't experience pain until three weeks later. It has been 11 months and I still experience pain and have over $32k in medical bills. If I would have settled right away I'd been screwed.

Seems to me that minor pain and suffering should only be compensated by a minor amount of money.

But that's just me. I'm certainly no attorney.
