Mom worked for C.I.L., the paint company, in the purchasing department... she said she loved her job and only had one idiot in the office. When she married my father, she became a homemaker, but aside from excelling at that, also did some substitute teaching and has been a part-time student since her four kids all became teenagers.

Dad started as a salesman for a chemical company, and worked his way up to top management by the time he retired in 1988, but he was recruited out of retirement a year later to turn a smaller company around, which he did in a year and a half, then retired for good... now he plays golf three times a week, claiming that as his "job". He is the best handyman I know... he grew up on a farm, so is no stranger to hard work... he has a VERY strong work ethic.

Mom has done so many jobs.
She started of as a teenager working for a furrier.
She's been an Avon Representative.
She was a bookkeeper.
She did some years as a cashier at our grocery store.
She worked for the Red Cross as a homemaker.
She owned her own Business and sold her crafts in it!
She helped operate a small hobby farm.
Mom now just has her craft business which she sells at the fleamarket and the odd craft show. Her things are all around the world.

My dad had been an ad sales rep., construction worker, farmer, bookkeeper, cell phone sales rep., Stelco worker, and many many other jobs.

Thanks!
♥D

My father works for Cambridge University....he was a lecturer until fairly recently, but I guess he is now more on the administration side. My mother is a full-time housewife and mother...she is now much more involved in helping and supporting my father in his job, too...and by that, I mostly mean attending various formal occasions. My father just has 3 years to go before a well-deserved retirement.

My father worked on the D&H Railroad, and my mother was a homemaker. My father also had a small dairy farm and sent a small quantity of milk to market daily. My mother loved chickens, and we always enjoyed the fresh eggs they would provide.
