Apart from Ebay!

Some lovely stuff on Ebay but usually all sold in colour lots. I want a good mix to get me started with jewellery making before investing in big lots of single colours!

They are fantastic! I just got my new order from them today. They carry gemstone, glass, ceramic, plastic, wood, shell, and bone beads, plus Swarovski crystal components, findings, chain, wire, thread, cabochons, clasps, ready-made jewelry that you can take apart or resell, books, videos, and tons, tons more. They also have "all assortable" pricing; if you buy in large amounts (starting with 15 items), you get price discounts, and they can be pretty substantial. If I recall correctly, one of my items was $2 less because I ordered 15 items total. Right now any order ships with UPS ground for only five bucks. Go there now! They're awesome.

I know you have said online here too but have you checked at Walmart and AC Moore lately? They have a good selection and there prices are not bad either plus on online to acmoore, michael's and johann's fabrics and sign up for there emails each week they will send you coupons to use in the store also all three of these places take each other coupons too. I know they have some nice sets at ACMoore of glass beads that run about 10.00 but with the coupon it should only be like 5.00 plus don't forget to check out there clearance section too I find allot of good deals in there too. Also on line another place you can try is www.sunshinecrafts.com they sell at warehouse prices and always seem to have a sale going on plus clearnce too. Also check out some sites on making you own beads with polymour clay this way you can get OOAK beads cheaper then buying them and there are ways to make them look like natural stones like opals and things on that nature. Good luck

I know you said 'online'...but beads can be quite weighty..and postage adds up. Boot sales often have lots of broken neclaces, beads and bobs in the 'everthing50p' boxes..
Charity shops are also good places.

try www.beadneeds.com.au
www.abeadstore.com
try local craft stores to see what you are really buying before you get them off internet.
google 'mixed beads' and start surfing for a week
