If it smells bad it could be yeast. Everyone has their own smell down there. They sell wipes to use down there but stay away from harsh soaps they cause yeast infections.

How do you know you don't have an infection. Little children can get infections. It has nothing to do with sexual activity.

As for discharge and slight smell, it is only normal to have that right before your period (about a week before). The way your body smell changes with the hormonal changes of menstruation. It will also change slightly during ovulation.

But heck, wearing tight pants can cause a yeast infection, so don't write off the possibility of an infection.

Because of the smell you are noticing this could be a bacterial infection. The only way to find out for sure what is going on is to see your doctor for further evaluation of the situation to see what they think is going on.

you might have an infection if it smells "fishy". Go to the gyno just in case. Good Luck

If there is more then "usual", the color is yellowish, it is thicker then usual, and or there is an unpleasant odor then chances are there is an infection. Any one can get an infection whether or not they are sexually active. See your GYN.

You can still get an infection without engaging in sexual conduct. Please see a doctor to get a definite diagnosis.
