I coslept with all but my first, and the only bad thing that happened was they were slow to take to having their own beds! Cosleeping is a personal choice and has been practiced safely for centuries. It helps baby and parents, at least for a little while. Yes, it can be dangerous. People should please do a study on whose children are more likely to smother, but I bet it would never be published coz it's not nice....

yes it is dangerous for those that sleep hard and wild and move around all night. My 8 month old sleeps with me and has since the second I had him even in the hospital I slept with him on me. People with no kids say that the baby would never sleep with them but when the baby keeps waking up over and over again every ten minutes because he wants to feel body heat and have his mothers scent next to him and you are not getting any sleep at all you will quickly change your mind. I have a 16 year old and a 13 year old and both of them co slept in my bed as well. it's what works for me you do what works for you! I tried the bassinet thing for my 8 month old but he would only sleep for ten minutes at a time but when I put him in my bed he slept for at least three to four hours at a time.

maximum dad and mom shop a newborn in a bassinet of their bedroom for some months in order that the child is close to and the mother needs to nurse the child. a touch one is totally danger-free in a crib besides. in basic terms make positive you in a lot of circumstances positioned the child on his/her decrease back, no longer on their abdomen, and make positive there is no longer fluffy comforters or bumpers interior the crib so as that the little you'll by some ability get knotted up in or have her/his head lined with. Having a tiny infant sound asleep interior the determine's mattress might want to be very risky-rolling on the child or by probability overlaying their face on a thanks to't breath. i'd ask your mom-in-regulation for an evidence. do a touch study on SIDS. Congrats and perfect needs on the child.

It is very dangerous. People should be aware of this. My kids always slept in their own bassinets, then cribs, then beds.

Yep, already knew this one.... that's why my babies slept in a bassinet NEXT to my bed, so I could see them & hear them easily, but they'd be safe

I heard that could happen. What a tragedy to wake up and find you killed your own baby.
When I have a kid..I don't think I'll be sleeping with them.
