i have had my period about 5 times and they all have been 4 or 5 days long, but ever since last week, my period wont stop!! this is my ninth day and im really aggravated cuz this is not my favorite thing in the world???!!!! so is this normal, and wats the longest period you have had.. please help.. im getting really worried. thanks

when i was in high school , they lasted about 5-10 days. as i got older (in 23) they shortened to about 4-6 days. But the longest one i ever had lasted 6 MONTHS!! no lie! if that happens to you SEE A DOC!!

The longest one I ever had was 14 days. It was heavy for about a week and then tapered off to the point where I would think I was finished, change to a pantyliner, then an hour or so later feel that familiar trickle again and need to put on a pad again. I know how aggravating it is!!!!! If it is really heavy and you are saturating a pad or tampon in less than an hour or two, go and see a doc ASAP. I would still get checked out though, just to make sure everything is alright.

I've had a couple of times where it lasted for 2 weeks. The first time I was only 13 and I had skipped the month before. And another time after I was on an antibiotic. It wasn't fun. I did see a doctor, but she said it was normal and everything was fine. After 2 weeks, yes, see a doctor or at least call.

My longest was 18 days
and i didnt come back on them for 8 weeks after

but if you are worried go see your doctor

I get them 8 days long. It all depends on your body. Since you've only had a period 5 times, your body hasn't quiet adjusted to your menstrual cycles. Within a year you should have more consistent periods.

Mine usually last around 4-6 days, but I've had one period that's lasted for nearly 3 weeks, but it was left over discharge from the previous months finally getting excreted. Nothing to worry about, hunny. you'll live! :) but if it really bothers you, you should tell your mom!

That's a bit unusual, but mine are usually 6 days and my longest was 11, so if it lasts any longer, go see your doctor.

One time i bled for nearly 3 months and when they found out what was wrong i had an ovarian cyst and I was only 18. I suggest you see a doctor.
