They feel so nice that I want one for myself. I usually use one at a day spa in Queenstown, NZ, called Body Sanctum. When you approach the tank, it looks like a building site compressor, a bit daunting. When you open it, the whole thing has a feel like a boat - fibreglassy, a bit flimsy. It's warm inside, and you can smell the salt water. You climb in (careful, it's slippery), lie down, pull the cover shut. The light is still on, if very dimly, and music is playing. After a while, the light dies down, as does the music, and you're engulfed by darkness. A warm, cozy darkness. You hear and see nothing, drift like in space.
Finding one in LA: http://www.samadhitank.com/ That company is in Nevada City/ CA, give them a call to order one, they'll ship. Otherwise, it is like anywhere - just find a manufacturer on the web and have it shipped. They mostly come from Switzerland - be prepared to have one shipped at considerable expense, it may be your only option (I guesstimate US$ 10.000 till everything is in place).
Good luck!

I think that this would be good--IF one were well balanced!! Otherwise, a troubled person could choose to drown--a very non-painful way of solvoing problems. One would hope a supervisor would prevent this.
