What other bands are there like Within Temptation or Nightwish that have a female vocalist?

I've listened to several different bands and I've decided that I mostly just like the female singers.

Do you listen to any bands like that?

Try "Epica". An excellent "symphonic metal" band with a lovely female vocalist. Also for something different, try "The Birthday Massacre". They are more gothy/punky but I really love their sound. Listen to the song "Violet".

Nightwish are still the best though! lol.

Quite a few. Epica, Theatre of Tragedy, Battlelore, and Tristania are some of the better known ones.

Check the Doom metal and Gothic metal genres.

i dont necessarly know what those two bands you mentions but i have heard of em which means there somewhere around the music i listen to, so try these three artists and see if you enjoy them

Evanescence

Phantom Blue (tell me if you can find a good source for the songs from there album because it is hard to find there music)

Well, there's Arch Enemy, but their sound is slightly *cough* different. I love Within Temptation, but I don't really know Nightwish, though I do know OF them.
