The government should stick it's nose somewhere other than into my hamburger.

Don't they have anything better to do?
If you don't want to eat trans fats, then don't.

There's MUCH more important domestic issues they should be dealing with.

Even for poor people, it's not like anyone is FORCING you to eat at Mickey D's or whatever. I was a very poor student last year...still am...and had food stamps, and although I couldn't cook for sh*t, I know that I could buy just about any food product in a grocery store - healthy and unhealthy.

In my opinion, the government should stop giving into the demands of the food police.

(speaking of, do those people even EAT at all? they seem to have a problem with almost any type of food. maybe they just sit around popping vitamins and other supplements. lol)

no, it is not the governments choice...if people want to eat trans fats, they know the consequences. this is after all supposed to be a free country. by telling you what to put in YOU OWN body, they are overstepping their bounds. if i want to eat fat, I'm gonna eat it. I know trans fats can lead to all kinds of health problems, but if that's a risk I'm willing to take, then they shouldn't be able to tell me i cant eat what i want. Geez how ridiculous.

Trans fat should be a personal decision.

The government has enough other stuff that should be banned.

No.

I am going to open up a fast-food restaurant that advertises that nothing on my menu is healthy. I will cook primarily with lard and bacon grease. I will use heavy amounts of salt.

People! If you want to eat 'healthy'...wtf are you doing in a fast food restaurant in the first place?!?

no, people need to take responsibility and not have the government hold their hand. If its unhealthy then you should be able to make that choice wether to eat it or not, not hte government

yes, because people can't control themselves. If there was not transfat for people to eat, I wouldn't be charged ridiculous health insurance rates to pay for all the fat people who eat their way to a heart attack.
