I'm 28 almost 29 weeks, and I know I have a long way to go, I'm just so tired of being pregnant.

Any ideas on how to make these last couple weeks go by a lot faster?

My doctor already said he thinks she's gonna come early.

I just need some ideas.

I've already done all my shopping, and I have to wait for my dad to paint the baby's room to start putting the room together.

any ideas?

I would just say try not to listen to what the doctor told you! At 36 weeks my daughter dropped and I was 2 centimeters dialated and my doctor was convinced I would never make it to my due date. Well, I had my daughter at 41 weeks! Just try not to get your hopes up about that.

Maybe plan a nice weekly thing just for you. Get your toenails done, get a pregnancy message, go shopping for the baby...things like that. Or why not start a baby journal of oyur pregnancy for your little one?

Once you look back on it, you'll think how fast it flew by! :)

For me, the weeks just keep getting slower, sorry. I am 37 weeks and about to jump out of my skin, I am so anxious to see my baby. I have cleaned, cleaned and cleaned some more. I love to go for walks everyday and I spend a lot of time reading anything I can get my hands on about child birth or raising children. I also signed up for birthing class, it was eight weeks long and it gave me and my husband something to look forward to every week. I hope your weeks go by faster than mine!

Try taking some classes. My wife was busy with homework. It was birth-classes, but it did give her something to do. Music is a good idea as well. Playing or singing can be relaxing. Consider puzzles or games with your mate. Learn how to re-configure your computer. Use your imagination. There's lots to do. Personally, I wouldn't try reading the encyclopedia from A-Z. Again do something that you might enjoy.

Hobbies and not counting down help a lot. It's hard not to count down, I was so into being pregnant myself. But I got to the point, like you, where I just wanted him here with me. Picking up a hobby really passes the time. Try puzzles, painting, reading, sewing stuff for your baby girl, just whatever you're interested in.

Try to relax, do your nails, read a good book. Take the time to enjoy having "you time". Once the baby comes it will hard to soak in a long bath or talk on the phone to a dear friend for very long. The baby will need you and you may wish for a little mommy time.

I've been there. Some women love to be pregnant but to me it was the worst time of my life. I couldn't sleep at night comfortably. I was always hungry, I could not control my bodily functions, and MY HAIR FELL OUT!! Not only that I was an emotional WRECK!! Girl, all I can tell you is to maybe go to your local YMCA and register for water aerobics. It seemed to release a lot of tension for me. And they say it helps with your delivery.

Just keep busy I guess. My time is going by pretty quick but I work 2 jobs plus have 2 kids and a husband to care for so my days are anything but boring. Don't worry it'll be over before you know it.

Enjoy sleeping through the nights and being able to shower every day. lol. Try doing some activities that you won't be able to do right away with a new baby. Go to the movies and out to a nice dinner. Maybe you should look for a preggo group in your area (check your hospital). I always found planned activities (alot of them) keep me busy and moving and gave me something to look forward to. Instead of just trying to figure out who was going to tie my shoes for me every morning. lol
