I've used eBay for quite a while now and had very few problems.
The way I get people hooked on eBay is I ask them to think of a toy they had as a child that they haven't seen for a while and search for it on eBay.
It gets you thinking and you can usually find it.

I don't use ebay because it is such a hassle and so easy to get ripped off. I hate paypal too and they are one and the same company and it shows. The only way i will go to ebay is to look at self-represented artists then I connect with them through email or phone them. Internet shopping is a breeze if you can avoid ebay and paypal. They are a total fraud pit. I guess we should stick together because i think we are the only 2 people on the planet who feel this way! <

Well, I used eBay for the first time this week actually. I was trying to buy cheap ski pants, and "wa la" eBay. I haven't received my pants yet, and won't know if eBay is a repeater until then. I generally go to Amazon. :-) I guess it just depends what you are after. Hmm...

Lol, I usually don't either. It is quite annoying when people answer with "ebay", because we all know we could use Ebay, but maybe we are looking for something a bit more .. detailed.

I never do I've heard to many bad stories from people that have bought things on ebay.

Yeah, it's an awesome site and an awesome way to save money. Often I find stuff in great condition for less $$$$. It's also an easy way to make some extra cash. Of the 2 dozen or so auctions I've put up so far, I've made around $700. You should consider looking into it.

I use Ebay, and will direct people to eBay when it is the appropriate source, but direct them to other places also. I do think it is a bit overused though.

I have used EBAy for many things that I would have normally paid very high prices for and got for a lot cheaper. I have also sold hundreds of dollars worth of items that we had laying around the house. It's not for everyone, but there are some people who are addicted to it and make a lot of money from it.

I've never purchased from eBay because I'm afraid the product will not be in good shape. I also don't like the idea of bidding on something and having to wait to know if it's mine.
