yes it can. i have very low iron, and my periods are horrible. i have really bad cramps, and about a year ago i got sick and almosted fainted when i was on my period. now i try to eat foods with iron, like grains, so that way it wont be so bad.

I believe it can. When I started my period I was extremely low on Iron. But it was only low on Iron when I have my period. They say the best sources of iron are Liver (ewww), red wine and sorry i know there are others but can't remember them off my head. But always sleep is good if you can fit it the schedule.

Yes, low levels of iron can affect a period such as by causing heavy bleeding. I would recommend checking with your doctor as well to see what they say.

Oh yes, it can, I have this problem. I get terrible cramps and feel so weak and quesy. I start craving red meat (definitely listen to the craving). If it's a continuing problem you can take iron supplements

i think so. im pretty sure that my cousin had that problem, and i think that she may even have gone on BC. (i really don't know...) but the best thing to do would be go to your doctor-he/she might have some iron pills or medication to give to you to get your iron levels up.
