I think what they are saying is that you don't NEED privacy rights if you've nothing to hide.

I disagree with them.

Think the only time the government comes after you is because you're a criminal.

Obviously never heard of the Inquisition, Salem Witch trials, holocaust, anything about Iraq, Sen Joe McCarthy. Also thinks that government is bad but benign. Never been on the bad side of a poice mistake. never stared down the wrong side of an M16 with a pointy thing on the end for being on the wrong waterway at the wrong time of the day.

It depends on the type of privacy rights you are talking about. For example I am not at all worried about the electronic eavesdropping law because I am not going to make an international phone call to a phone number connected with international terrorism.

You know that small government the conservatives love? They have no problem expanding it to include the morals police, the illegals eyes and ears on your private belongings police and the bedroom police. They're trying to create the KGB here in America and end up with citizens spying on each other to gain favor.

i personally dont care if the govt spies on its own ppl. make some clear guidelines, if they cross them, someone gets fired or goes to jail.

again, let them tap everything but my toilet for all i care. its funny how socialist dems cry about privacy but they marvel about communist societies as being so great.
