Without dwight freeney, do you think the colts defense will become bad like it was years ago?

Also do you think the offense can carry them?

This defense is a lot quicker than some of those past defenses even without Freeny. Simeon Rice was a nice waiver wire pickup.
If I'm wrong then I sure hope the offensive line gets healthy quick.

I don't think just the loss of Dwight Freeney will permanently kill the defensive scheme of the Dungy-coached Colts, though it isn't an ideal situation any more.

Just like the secondary, younger players must step up. And don't discount Robert Mathis' individual contributions.

i think they are in trouble without freeney. he is the best pass rusher for the team, and that pressure up front allows the secondary to look much better than it is. this loss is huge for the colts, and i think they will have to change there defensive scheme a little to allow there linebackers to get pressure on the quarterback.

Losing Freeney has to hurt them, the man is a beast.

They'll need more than the offense, to beat the Patriots.... the defense is too wiped out by injuries, to be as it was.
