The problem with debating any scientific theory is that most of those participating in the public debate have little to no understanding of the scientific method or the theory in question, and are driven by political or religious arguments, instead.
But, yes, this is a free country and we have every right to make fools of ourselves by spouting off about 'Global Warming,' even though we know nothing about climatology.

True we are a democracy and the issue should be debated. But we are also citizens of the world and since what we do impacts the world we have an obligation to our fellow world citizens to be willing to negotiate and compromise for the good of all. Iran could claim that they don't want the world to cram a no-nuclear proliferation down their throats and that they are responsible only to themselves, but as this affects all of us--- I am sure you can see that its not reasonable to react as Isolationists in a Global situation ? PS-- The sins are worldwide, it is not just us. But I would prefer for us to be part of the solution rather than a petulant problem maker.

Those who are perpetuating the scam have quelled debate with the usual argument that if we disagree with their junk science or present evidence to refute it that we're against clean water, clean air and wish to destroy the planet.
In order for a debate to take place, BOTH sides must be open to intellectually honest context and ALL the facts.
You'll never get that from AlGore worshipers.
Like most liberal causes, real scrutiny will destroy the entire premise and all the money they stand to make and power they stand to garner will slip through their grasp.
If you DO intend to debate Global Climate Change, be prepared for attacks, not facts from the left!

What's to debate. Either the ozone layer has a hole in it or it doesn't, that's the reality. Now how you handle that is how you "debate" the issue. The Bible stated that the world would not be destroyed by water ever again, but by fire, how quaint that when the ozone layer goes, we will be engulfed in the suns radiation.
Maybe we can also debate the sun going Super Nova in a billion years? Not too soon to start planning for that is there? How about a "Star Wars" program to get all humans off the earth when that happens?

Gee a debate would be great. Too bad GW won't let us. The debate isn't about how bad we are, it's about being responsible for our home. Is it too much to ask? No one is cramming anything down your throat, especially if your mind is already closed.

This is actually a constant debate. There are many political figureheads who state that global warming is a significant threat, and there are others who either deny its existence, or feel that it isn't a threat. That is the beauty of a democracy. We are free to debate pretty much anything, and to choose a leader who agrees with our views.

No, because the ones that promote global warming do not want us to be a democracy. They want us to be like stalinist Russia, and they are using the ignorance and fear of the public to tell people how to live...if they dont live that way the earth will die in 5 years.
Global Warming is total BS....it just got colder here today!!

when will the public wake up and realize the U.S. is not about being a democracy anymore, its putting money into the hands of the people who manipulate its ignorant masses
http://zeitgeistmovie.com/ -- Watch that, the "christian debunking" part is irrellevant and I'm not 100% sure why its in that movie, but the rest of the movie is very convincing.
