What would they do if a neighbor gets arrested for drug possession and left behind a tank ful of oscars and hammerheads? They're kind of rare pets to flush down the toilet like guppies.

And the goldfish?

I think the fish are the first to be adopted. This is why we never see them. ;)

maximum folk use the fish shop as their adoption midsection. human beings drop off undesirable fish off each and all the time. My nearby shop has an adoption tank with a team of inexpensive fish, regularly fairly great cichlids that folk ought to not living house anymore. My humane society here oftentimes has goldfish for adoption. i've got not viewed different fish there, however. they basically are not set as much as soak up maximum fish. I accompanied a blue hippo tang from Petco for $10 the different day. somebody delivered her in and that they could not' sell her provided that she replaced right into a donation i think so as that they accompanied her out like a cat or some thing. there replaced right into a $10 adoption fee. i replaced into happy as may be provided that I have been given an exceedingly high priced fish for next to not something!

I don't have an answer but Dad should know that fish are vertebrates.

Anyone who's ever eaten one fresh can testify to that.

I haven't seen any animals except dogs & cats at ours, but we have a wildlife care center which also handles ferrets, turtles, snakes, etc, so they might.
