I love the name May just not with Joanna.. both names are pretty just don't sound right together.

It's pretty. I have a friend who called her daughter Johanna, which I also like quite a bit.
And it is always nice to honor loved ones. I think that we rarely regret these names, and often find that it is a nice way to talk to our kids about people they don't have the privilege of knowing very well.

Joanna is a little southern (well, that's what I think) and May is very feminine.

I think it's great.
my middle name is JoAnne and it was a aunts name. I'm older, so it's not a new twist, it's just a creative twist capitalizing the A.
Besides who cares what everyone thinks.
