I NEED 2 GROW?
I'm 13 YEARS OLD and i heard that girls stop growing after their period is that true because i first had mine when i was 11 i really want to grow. I'm 5'3 and i want to grow at least 5'7 can some1 help me my mom is 5'4 and my dad is 5'10. Pls don't say anything negative and please if any1 has been through this pls answer

Girls DO NOT stop growing after their periods! That is an old wives tale. You will grow until you are 18-21. Relax.

Besides, there is nothing safe that you can do to make yourself grow. You will be the size you are meant to be. It all depends on your genetics. (You'll probably be somewhere between the height of your parents.)

Your period is more likely the beginning of your growing not the end. You may still have some growing to do, most girls don't stop growing until their early 20's. From your height and the height of your parents, it is unlikely you will ever be 5'7, but you may still grow a few inches.
Don't worry too much guys like short girls, I'm only 5'1 and guys say that short girls are cute because they are easier to hold.

WOW..that is so weird. I have the EXACT problem, except that I'm 18...

I'm only 5'3 too..all i can really say is that you probably, aren't going to grow too much more than you already are, unless you have a growth spurt. (hey you never know)

There isn't really anything that you can do about it either. There have been claims that milk adds "17% of your height" in your teenage years, though. :)

I was very short, u usually start to grow once u get ur period which i am growing now,,its all in ur genes!! relax u will groww i hatedd being short and having feet and now im catching up to everyone !!

i started at 14 and i was really short - one of the shortest in my class now im 18 and im 5"8 and i dwarf people and btw my mum is 5"1 and my dad 5"11

girls stop growing at the same time as boys between 19 - 21 so don't worry, as for how tall you get well thats up to your genes i afraid, you will get as tall as you get. you are of course lucky as you can increase yoour hight with heals boys who are short can't

yeah I'm a 15 yearold 4'11" girl so yeh I only have so much time to grow, so I do exercises to elongate my body, like yoga or gymnastics or something like that.
