It's ok, we can't all be perfect.

First of all CONGRATULATIONS - on two levels.

1 - Having a go 2 Realising you could have done better.

WELL DONE

You said you failed pretty miserably.

Do you have any reason why that happened.

Knowing what caused this to happen can help you.

Were you nervous, forgot the words, sang of key, or off pitch?

If it was just nerves you need to find some way to control them. Deep breathing, meditation, up-chucking, what ever it takes to get your nerves under control.

I knew someone who was always so nervous going on air he would almost vomit on the spot - he got over it and did very well.

If the cause was technical - overcome that by learning the right way to do it. Get lessons - or more lessons - learn to control your breathing by singing scales over and over.

Every one has their good and bad days doing what ever they do and no one is perfect all the time.

You have a couple of choices - sit there and mope - feeling depressed and sorry for yourself - thinking you'll NEVER be any good

OR

GET UP OFF YOUR BUM - dust yourself off - settle down and practise, practise, rehearse etc etc.

You didn't fail - just didn't do as well as you thought you should.

The only people who fail are those who don't try,

GET UP AND HAVE A GO. If at first you don't succeed, try, try ,try again and then give it another go.

The biggest success comes quite often, not so much from succeeding, but more from NEVER giving up.

Good luck and go break a leg as they say

Oh, my dear....

I have messed up more auditions than you have ever attempted, and it never gets easier. You did not fail. You succeeded in finding a way to not audition well. Make note of that technique, and do not repeat it. The only failure lies in not auditioning. Those people behind the table WANT to like you. Just give them the chance.

Were you underprepared? Be prepared. Were you nervous? Everyone is.

Do not beat yourself up because you stunk up the joint. I have done it, and so has every actor who ever set a foot on a stage. It does get easier. Trust me. I have been there, and lived to tell the tale.

I know how you feel, I did that recently. Let yourself have a pity part for a little while (fifteen minutes max) and then make yourself do smoething fun. like watch a movie/tv show, listen to music, call a friend. if you want to vent you can email me

jus remember that every audition is a learning experience. also, don give up hope. you might still get in. an artist is his own worst critic. or iour hcase her own. hope you get in and break a leg! (=

one million. Say you do not prefer to do it. 2. do not prepare the track, in any respect. 3. do not seem to auditions. 4. Purposely pass over notes. those are fairly your basically techniques. type one million is the perfect one... yet fairly, no rely how undesirable you do, i've got in no way heard of a band director not letting a scholar into the band, so basically say you do not prefer to do it. or you will basically finally end up in the backside band with fairly tense musically challenged human beings... (our college has 6 bands, and that i replaced into in the backside as quickly as because of the fact i replaced into new to the device- it replaced into not a exciting adventure)

I assume you take vocal lessons. If not, do so. Sounds like you need some coaching on how to audition. For more information read my profile and contact me at my aol address where I help actors for free.

As Ginger Rogers sang in 'Swing Time' :
Nothing's impossible, I have found.
For when my chin is on the ground,
I pick myself up, dust myself off,
Start all over again.
Don't lose your confidence if you slip.
Be grateful for a pleasant trip,
And pick yourself up; dust yourself off;
Start all over again.

We all have failures. Just try and make the next one better!

so much of audition is about the look...so you may do better than you think. and remember the more you do the better you get at auditions....I know this for a fact.
