Hee hee, my name's Lydia so it makes me think of me!
I've always liked my name- traditional, but not boring, a certain delicacy to it but not weak and flimsy, reasonably pretty without being too girly. Its normal enough that people know how to say and spell it (most of the time), and there are a few of us around, but I've only known of 2 other Lydias in my social sphere, and I always feel a connection to anyone I hear of with my name.
Clara I like too. I think of clear air and water when I hear it. However, it does have a harder undertone, which makes me think of someone who can be a bit two faced.
Pearl I dont really like. It seems too abstract, too hard and shiny, too pretentious. I think of a superficial person, with cold and scathing ambition and disdain, very self concerned but ultimately rather vacuous. Use it as a middle if you must.
These are just my opinions though, make up your own mind.

I love Lydia, but prefer the Italian spelling - Lidia. It strikes me as both fresh and modern and a little bit old-fashioned. Lidia could be anyone - from a tomboy to an elegant woman to a celebrity chef. ;)
Clara and Pearl strike me as a bit fustier. I like Clara, but imagine a rather buttoned-up little girl in a white lace frock, hosting elaborate tea parties for her china-faced dolls. Claire is similar and, to me, is as versatile as Lidia.
Pearl is at least as old world as Clara, but there's also a scent of mothballs and cobwebs about her ... I'm just not sure that one is ripe for a revival.
A few other old-fashioned that I love: Harriet, with the nickname Hattie; Cordelia, called Della or Delia; and Margaret called Margo.

Pearl and Lydia make me think of old women, Clara is cute, I would not be sure how old the person was, so it would work no matter what the age of the person was.

I like Pearl and Lydia. Both are very feminine sounding names, without being boring or over the top. Clara just seems rather plain to me.

Lydia: A beautiful, young, Edwardian lady with a Gibson girl hairstyle
Pearl: Shy, sweet, petite, cute, with a big heart. A little bookish. Very pretty.
Clara: A Clara Beau type, a little bit bohemian, very passionate, but very classy and elegant.
I like them all.

Lydia or Clara. They are not too common but not unheard of. Keep in mind that one day your daughter will be 90, so whatever name you pick should be appropriate for a young girl and an old woman.

I like the name Clara the best. Lydia and Pearl sound too dated to me.

Lydia always reminds me of Beetlejuice. I do think it's a lovely name.
Pearl is pretty, but it seems a little outdated and rather backwoods.
Clara makes me think of a blue eyed blonde who looks like a porcelain doll.
