And where are the Aztecs now? Do you believe everything the Aztecs said? No one knows when the world will end. Not even Jesus. God is the only one who knows. Just live your life and don't be afraid.

The 2012 thing is pretty new. As for end of the world prophecies. Do some research. There have been tons of them. Every so often one will pop up. The world was supposed to end in 1999. Didn't. Ok, then it was supposed to end in 2000. Nope, not then either. Well, then 2001 was the magic year. Yeah, 2001 came and went. Look farther back. There are hundreds of end of the world prophecies that all turned out to be wrong. The 2012 thing will be the same. January 1, 2013 will be here and the end of the world prophecy crowd will just come up with a different date for the big finale.

The Mayan, not Aztec, calendar ends a cycle in 12/21/2012, but if Mayans were able, they would just begin a new cycle then. It is no more significant than the Gregorian calendar ending a decade, a century and a millenium in 2000. Did you know that this is year 4705 on the Chinese calendar? I have one in my living room. I have read hundreds of doomsday predictions. such stuff is nonsense. No one knows such things. There is no reasson to suppose mayas knew more than anyone else does about such matters.

nope. did it ever occur to those people who watch this stuff (and believe) that maybe the calendar ends in 2012 because they, the mayans, weren't around to update the thing, huh? look, if it ends, it solves my credit card situation. charge and charge a lot. who's gonna be around to care? on a more serious note, do you think those who make $$$ on the cards would allow earth to just blink out? not on the hair of your chinny-chin-chin! i've been around long enough to hear, listen and read about the end of the world so much, after a while, it becomes the same thing over and over and over... the earth and all within will end in it's own good time. i take the alfred e neuman approach, "what? me worry?"

Actually its December 21, 2012 and its the Mayan calendar. And a lot of neat stuff is happening all on the same day. The calendar ends, the winter solstice is "aligned" with the Milky Way on that day. I don't think the world will actually end on that day but it does make me wonder why the Mayan calendar would on that particularly day.

No, the world is not going to end in 2012. There is absolutely no evidence to support this crackpot idea. As your mother correctly says, people have been predicting the end of the world for over a thousand years on equally flimsy evidence, and we're still here.

5 years left to live? I don't think so. People thought the world was going to end in the year 2000 but nothing happened. Don't worry about a thing.

No, these things have been going on for years. Just last year we were going to die on 6th June 2006 because someone said 'hang on, 6/6/06? 666? We're going to die!' Did we? Well? Seriously i don't know if we did. (Sorry about the terrible joke)
As for the end of the world, don't worry and don't be scared. Listen to your mother, she is right. And if you really are worried, there's a guy i know who you can talk to anytime, any day. He's called the lord Jesus Christ.

Just consider one small view of 2012. And from the dieing embers of some elemental seeds only allowed to access enough universe to go a short while and then acquiesce all contact and thus physical activity that drives. Yes, for something out there, it is set to end and will end, however, that only means whatever it used to take away is now returning to the universe, possibly as indifferent dark matter.

well I can assure you that the world will end for someone..... today and everyday thereafter. if you expect the Aztecs to predict the end of this spinning rock then you will fall for some guy saying the same thing ......unless they donate money in the name of some guy who walked on water and wokeup after being dead for three days with a gaping hole in his chest

Alot of religions are pointing to 2012 as the year.
Christianity: there will be seven years of tribulation. That countown began in 2005. It was started by the Tsunami (late 2004), Katrina, and Indonesian Earthquakes.
Bhudism: The beggining of the end will begin in 2005.
Many religions tell the same thing.
