I've been doing really poorly in math.
And I need serious help to determine my average so I can have a talk with my teacher of what I can do.

Homework And Participation is 20% and I have a 100!
Quizzes are 25%, Grades are as follow: 84, 88, 42, 98
Tests are 55%: 82, 30, 41

Ehh. I know.
But I'm getting extra credit. Thanks

it would be
.20(100) + .25(84 + 88 + 42 + 98) + .55(82 + 30 + 41)/
.20(100) + .25(100 + 100 + 100 + 100 ) + .55 (100+ 100 + 100) = 182.15/285= .6391 * 100 = 63.9% is your grade.
Hope this helps.
Also, for homework/participation your average is a 100%
for quizzes 84 + 88 + 42 + 98/ 4 = 78% for your average
then for tests 82 + 30 + 41/ 3 = 51% for your average
If you multiply them by .2, .25, and .55, you get 20+19.5+28.05=67.55, which is not your grade, but your average. Hope this helps. E-mail me if you need more help.

67.55%
Average of quizzes: (84+88+42+98)/4 = 78 x .25 = 19.5
Average of tests: (82+30+41)/3 = 51 x .55 = 28.05
Average HW and participation: 100 x .20 = 20
19.5+28.05+20=67.55%

I worked in a statistical department in insurance once and looked into this. it's more a case of being able to put the large amount of study in to qualify. I seem to recall that an honours degree in a numerate discipline was good enough to register to sit the exams. You could do actuarial science at some universities and the gain exemptions from some of the professional exams. Superb mathematical ability such as being a human calculator is not really required due to the advent of electronic calculation. It's more that you would be expected to have a general 'feel' for numbers, which you've probably got more than you realise if you study maths subjects.

Your average for quizzes is 78%.
Your average for tests is 51%
According to my calculations, your overall average is 67.55%, so you're really close! If you get 100% on one test, you'll certainly be fine.

Maybe you should practice your math and figure the average on your own.
