Repair or replace? Ive cleaned underneath, always check lint at every old, and replaced the exhaust vent leading to roof and cleanned the pipe. Should I throw in the towel and buy a new one or replace some sort of burner?

Be happy that you got such great service from an appliance, I wouldn't spend 1 cent on the old one. Even if you get the right part the first time (which you might not) the rest of the appliance is still 15 years old. go with the first answer and buy a new one.

Replace

May be the heating element. Replace if you can do it yourself or know someone handy to do it for you. Getting a repairman - - then it may be worth checking in replacing.

I have received great deals from specialty washer/dryer appliance stores & asking for 2nd hand. Their technicians go through it & fix/replace and many times have a short warranty which is more than picking up a 2nd hand from a newspaper ad.

If it's not noisy or squeaky when running, check on a price to replace the burner or limit switches. Internal duct for the burner may be plugged up too or a metal duct part may have corroded so as to not allow the proper air flow. Price repair versus replace.

Someone here suggested getting a heating element..There isn't one for A gas dryer....only electric..gas works from a flame not an element ..Actully 15 years it has had it's life..And I would suggest having a 220 electrical outlet ran to the wash room and buying a electric dryer..Gas/oil is getting very expensive, and even going to get higher and higher...The extra 300.00 to run a 220 outlet will be saved the first cold season you have versus continueing with gas dryer..

Sensors could need cleaning, gas valve could be shot or nozzle could have lint in it. Probably 10 or more things could be causing the problem. If you areen't sure how to check it, you'd be safer buying a new one.
