I think so because WWE now is basically about their gimmicks and not wrestling.

About 75% of the roster is mainly based on their character and not skills. For example The Miz.

The Miz lasted about 3.5 seconds in the royal rumble.Yes i think it is doing down hill.Because they put so much hype on a few wrestlers.Like hbk and the undertaker. ( taker and hbk are the best in the wwe.they are the best their ever will be !!! )

WWE, quality-wise, has been going downhill for awhile, but it's not because of character and not skills. Hulk Hogan was a character, and so were most of the wrestlers in the 80's and early 90's. Stone Cold, the Rock... characters. Any time wrestling has hit a big boom, there's been a fine mix of the two, but the biggest stars are usually made due to how over their character is with the fans, as opposed to their wrestling ability.

However, the characters used to not suck. A wrestler could cover a subpar wrestling ability with tremendous character... i.e. The Rock. The Rock was not nearly the greatest in-ring performer ever, but nobody cared.

John Cena and Randy Orton are their golden boys now, and I can't stand either one of them. Randy Orton is a douchebag outside of the ring, and is mediocre at best inside the ring. He's been handed numerous chances, and while he's put on a few decent matches over the year, I don't see him as a world champion and I never have.

John Cena... I've never liked him. I know it became the "cool" thing to do to boo Cena, but I didn't like him when everyone clamored for him. I find him vanilla and bland. I do however respect the hell out of him for being a class act and a decent person, unlike Randy Orton, who is silver spoon and good ol' boy by definition.

I used to watch every single WWE program religiously. Maybe it was getting into the indies that ruined this for me, but I try sitting through an episode of RAW anymore, and I just can't do it. Occasionally there's something decent, like the opening skit from DX the other night, but I don't remember the last time they put together a solid show.

The same guys who were on top ten years ago still are, and it gets stale. The only exceptions really are Cena and Orton, and I've covered what I think of them. Triple H, the Undertaker, Shawn Michaels... with all due respect to them, they're not what they used to be.

The return of Chris Jericho is one thing to which I'm looking forward, but at the same time, it's bringing back a big star instead of making new ones.

WWE needs to change something, but because they keep selling Cena merchandise and their tickets keep selling, they're not going to. The facts are though that their ratings have been on a steady decline, with the exception of times when Cena actually lost the title. The highest rated show in five years was when Edge used the money in the bank to defeat Cena, and what happened? He lost it right back to him two weeks later.

Another thing that would help is to just recombine the rosters. They have no depth right now, and it leads to reptition. Combining ECW and Smackdown was a good start, as it's given under-rated talents like CM Punk, Elijah Burke, and John Morrison to shine on a bigger stage.

They'll probably turn it around eventually, but I'd rather watch independent wrestling and see good matches instead of the same old standard punch-kick-spinebuster borefests WWE has been putting on lately.

I agree and the sad part is that their gimmicks are starting to suck. People now a days cant pull off matches either. Chuck Pulumbo cant pull off a move anyways and wats with his storyline rivalry against Kenny Dykstra? That just sucks of coure Cuck will win. Batista can never pull off a move like his batista bomb. he sucks at it. The dumbest thing i have seen is at CYber SUnday when Batista did a batista bomb on taker and he kicked out and when taker got bak up he just did another one and won??? that sucks

It's due to a lack of competition. TNA is trying, but can't match up with their collection of over-the-hill WWE & WCW guys and mid-carders promoted as stars.

WWE's writing staff has grown fat and lazy. Smackdown & Raw are overly relying on the same guys and same ol storylines.. They're trying to push the younger guys on ECW, but the guys they chose aren't charismatic and the storylines aren't interesting.

I did but I think it was mainly because of John Cena being the champion for so long and Triple H being away but since Randy Orton became champion it's been good and I'm not being biased in the fact that i love Randy Orton and think he's the most fittest man ever to walk the earth he's a great wrestler and deserves to be WWE Champion :] xoxo

BOB, Creepy was talking about the product, NOT the sales...WWE literally does "suck" becauese on EVERY Raw you will always the same show...WWe has no good wrestling but excellent character..The top stars have no talent. I personaly watch ROH, and TNA for good wrestling.
