I've had this happen, I did C. By the time I remembered that I had the mail a month had gone by so the bills or what ever the stuff was had to be out of date, so I figured what the heck and toss it went.

cause it would be really really bad to throw it away, there is no need to get the PS involved and putting it back in his mail box is only good if ur shy and then u should leave a note

That's happened to me a couple of times. I took the mail to the neighbor. Then I called up the USPS customer service line and gave them some grief about the mail carrier screwing up yet again (that used to happen a LOT at my old place).

I did do this, our first initials are the same, and have similar surnames. We have the same house number, but a different street. I realised my mistake as soon as I opened it, and took it round with a grovelling apology. She was fine about it.

Id take it over and let him know what happenned AFTER i ate all the good candy that was in it! OOPS I thought it was for me- got so excited - opened it- ate it- and then realized my name wasnt Joe Smith!!!!! Kidding! id take it to him.....maybe............
