Did you hit all the limbs falling down from that tree, if I was your wife, I would say, sure, more power to you!!!!!
Then let you roam the woods, and howl at the moon all night while I change the locks on all of the doors and windows!!!!
I have some lumber in the back, I will make you a dog house, yeh, if you want to look like that, there is no way in bloody he** you will EVER be my husband!!!!!

You "can" at any time, but why would you want to??
You likely made some promises. I'll bet one of those promises had something to do with 'keeping it at home'. An important piece of integrity is doing what you said you'd do. Did you tell your partner that you wouldn't get involved with someone else? What would help you keep that promise?
