i think that the yankees will make somewhat of an attempt to go after johan santana, the yankees also have there hands full with resigning there star players like arod and rivera. i am sure that trades are the last thing on brian cashmans mind these days. i would like to see the yankees go after andy pettitte to bring him back. Also they need to go after some free agent relievers or at least try and make a trade for some so the can strengthen there weak bullpen.

Not unless they give up some of those prospects. Both Kennedy & Huges should go, they are both #3 or #4 starters at best. Santana is a #1 all day long!
But, the Yankees and the NY media always over value their prospects when they really aren't that great.

I believe that the red sox will sign Santana,for buckholtz and Lester and some minor leaguers.

That's if the Twin can't sign him to an extension. The Yankes have great pitching for next year. If Pettite comes back the rotation will be:
Wang
Pettite
Kennedy
Chamberlain
Hughes
Mussina
