no. everybody or a lot of us are really struggling and having a hard time making ends meet this year. If you have a big family then I think it's best to either draw names where everyone gets a gift, or simply buy for the kids. I promise you they will understand.

i admire lyrical stuff Soulja Boy is cool for the club, yet human beings ought to stop performing like youngsters are robots without minds and something that comes on the radio they'll do. If thats the case we desire 50 cent or Lil wayne to do a song asserting all youngsters be stable, never get in difficulty or communicate back and notice if each and every youngster will do this additionally. If the music is only too undesirable mum and dad shouldn't enable their youngsters pay attention to it. those are rappers they do no longer opt to be function fashions and guy of the three hundred and sixty 5 days their activity is to sell information no longer infant sit down youngsters and attempt to no longer say some thing a baby shouldn't hear, movies do no longer do it, Do human beings think of no youngsters have seen scarface, goodfellas, on line casino, or godfather. Its been around, those movies sell particularly some what so pronounced as "undesirable" rappers sell.

Talk to your brother about it. Since his dad is not married to his mom anymore her rules do not apply to him. I would just make a nice platter of homemade cookies for the adults. That's what I'm doing for extended family this year because my husband has been out of work since June and I am working 3 jobs. On the weekends I have been making and freezing cookie dough that can be baked later. Costco is a great place to get baking items. It is only around $4 for a 25 pound bag of flour, and really cheap for the 3 pound (Maybe larger...don't remember) bag of baking soda and big container of baking powder.

You can do what ever you want, but gift giving is getting expensive. Even a good box of chocolates is around 12-15 bucks.
In my opinion, it should just be for the kids. Jesus doesn't want us to go broke celebrating his birthday. If you wanted to do something different, you could buy a couple of pigs or a sheep for a villiage in the name of your family.

We only buy for kids, and adults all just pitch in to the costof the meal, either cash to the 'chef' or bring some part of the dinner.... this seems to keep everyone happy. I think as long as you explain the rules, then it works. Another thing I have heard of is buying a family present, so just one thing per 'mum, dad, and kids' seems to work well too!

Army Wife, Well dear just do what you can afford, Christmas is not about gifts. It is about the love of father God sending us Jesus, his one and only begotten son to pay the sin debt for all mankind so that we who invite Jesus into our hearts can one day spend eternity with the holy trinity in heaven !

If they want to exchange with you then exchange with them. Ask them. If the others don't want to exchange, respect their wishes. If you like exchanging gifts maybe suggest to everyone that they pick names next year. My friend's family doees that because they have a large family. The adults pick names and so do the older kids.

I just buy a gift for each child and then make up a theme basket for each adult household. I try to keep it inexpensive and fun.
