The truth is you don't really know what size you'll be. Your breasts will change even until the end of your pregnancy. After delivery, when your milk comes in, you might even go to DD, it just depends on you and your body. The best thing to do is to invest in only two soft cup bras that will allow you to adjust up and down. Go cheap, like the 8 dollar bras at wal-mart or target. After a few weeks, when your engorgement has subsided, you'll have a better idea of what size you'll really be.

You should wait to buy nursing bras until after you have the baby. Your breast will change 15 more times between now and after engorgement that you will waste your money buying the wrong size. Have a couple sports bras handy and after the baby is a few days old you will know what size you will be. I just stuck with the sports bras because paying $40 for a nursing bra I would use a year seemed crazy to me.

I was the same size when I got pregnant. One thing that I discovered that worked well for me, I bought sports bras. Not the ones that have the thick elastic but just light ones that give you support but are comfortable. Instead of having to worry about snapping or unsnapping the cup I would just lift up the bottom of the bra on the side I wanted to nurse and then put it back when I was done. It was so easy and comfortable and perfect for when you are home most of the time. If you need a nursing bra, those maternity stores that carry them are great about helping you find what is right for you.

I suggest that you go to a store that specializes in maternity clothing and ask the clerk for sure. I went with my daughter when she was pregnant to buy nursing bras. The clerk there said to start by trying on the size bra she wore before she got pregnant. Then she told my daughter to slide her hand in through where the straps and the top of the cup meet and see if it still felt comfortable. She said that is where the bulk of the breast size increase is. For my daughter, she did buy the same size nursing bras that she wore before she was pregnant. Although there were nursing bras with underwires, my daughter said the teacher in their breastfeeding class recommended not using them as they can lead to blocked milk ducts. My grandson is almost 7 months old now and is still being breast fed. My daughter found a particular brand of nursing bra that she really felt comfortable with, but it took trying a few different ones. You may have to try on several different types before finding the one you like.

I have breastfed all 4 of my children, and honestly I have never used a nursing bra. I used the soft kind of bras-like Hanes brand underwire style. I am an unusual size- 32DDD when breastfeeding and it is nearly impossible to find!! I am 32DD when not breastfeeding (while pregnant after gaining 40 pounds each time I was about a 36D). Right now I wear a regular bra-Wacoal brand 32DDD and just pop myself over the top of it during the day, I wear the Hanes underwire style bras at night, size 34D. I use Avent disposable nursing pads. My youngest is now 7 months old and I am currently breastfeeding him. Good luck!!

I was a C-D when I was preg and ended up wearing between a D and DD. The DD fits before I nurse but after it is a little big. Everybody is different though. I know a girl that was a D preg and was a G after!!! So if I were you I would only buy one bra until after your milk comes in just to be sure. The good ones aren't cheap!

I did not get any bigger than I was during pregnancy. I was a C pre-pregnancy and a D during. The D nursing bras fit just fine. I bought a cheap one to wear home from the hospital and a couple of nicer ones once my milk came in. You might fit differently in some brands as well. The nicer bra I bought from Motherhood is an E- but I swear it must be a fluke:)

lol...I was a DD before I got pregnant...I'm now wearing the biggest size Motherhood sells....

Yes you'll need to go a size up...

Personally, the 16 dollar nursing bra from Motherhood is the best one I have ever found...

It's cheap
It gives you awesome support
It stretches when you grow...

I'd seriously look into this bra if I were you...I've been nursing for a year and I bought several different bras in stores, online and this by far was the best most comfortable most affordable bra I found.

They have recently made a few design changes with it that I'm not particularly happy about...but it's still good.

Highly recommended.

I bought a maternity bra when I was about 28 weeks pregnant and went by what fit but with only a little room for growing. I didn't go by cup size as they all differ. I found that that tiny bit of extra room was all I needed. But every ones different, you might go up to a c cup you might not. Good luck bra shopping

Just get one or two that fits you before to deliver and then wait until after you have the baby and get a few more.
My friends and I found that wal-marts nursing bra the cheap ones were the most comfortable.
