I love both of those names, and I'm glad, as a spaniard that you're keeping their names true to their ethnicity.
I love Mariela, Esperanza.
For boys, I'd have to say Michael (is that ethnic?) or Benjamino?, Jaime. My father in law was named Venancio Jimenez Villareal. My last child, who never appeared, might have been named Michael. My mother in law's maiden name was Mendez. So he would have been Michael Mendez Villareal. My son's name is Joel David Villareal. I didn't name my daughter with a hispanic name because I figured that when she married, her name would change anyway.
You can tell I married a Hispanic man and don't speak as much Spanish as I'd like. But I do enjoy names that mean faith, joy, happiness, grace, Flor, Franciela...

I'm Italian, so some of our names are similar to Spanish names. My name is Sofia, and I believe that is what it would be in Spanish as well. I like Sofia for a girl then, and Tullio (one of my brothers) for a boy.
