Is there such a thing as too much of a good thing?

This happened to me with "Soul Meets Body" by Deathcab for Cutie

Absolutely, and the list of songs is endless.

I can barely stomach listening to anything off of Pearl Jam's Ten album anymore. Also, pretty much the entire self-titled Van Halen album has ceased to exist for me, along with the entire Lynyrd Skynyrd catalog, most Rolling Stones songs, "Paradise City" and "Sweet Child O' Mine" by Guns N' Roses, "You Shook Me All Night Long", and the '87 version of "Here I Go Again" by Whitesnake.

Dead, dead I tell you... graveyard dead.

It happens all the time. I play alot of music before the radio even thinks about playing it.

Soon as the radio gets ahold of it it's over.
On average the top 40 stations play the top 6 songs 100+ times a week. That's every 2 hours in prime time.

Yes. But give it about a decade, you might be able to listen to it again. After avoiding the following songs for quite awhile, I'm now able to listen to them without cringing:

The Cure - Love Song.
Depeche Mode - Enjoy the Silence and Personal Jesus.
The B-52s - Roam and Love Shack.

Oh yeah, and not just by the radio but from friends too. These are ones I have a hard time stomaching anymore:

Anything off Nevermind
Anything off Ten
Pixies - Where Is My Mind?
Smashing Pumpkins - Disarm

and I'm sure there's more I just can't come up with off the top of my head.

Led Zeppelin -Stairway to heaven is the best example to come to my mind it was fantastic when it came out the radio stations and dances always played it during the 1970's and even in waynes world the mention it don't play stairway on guitar, besides I'd rather hear Kasmir or Battle of evermore,or even "In the Light"

Epic by Faith No More.. I liked it maybe the first 20 times, but after the 600th I was sick to death of it. I will still usually skip it on the album.
