People are finally learning about what a sleaze she is and that she's dangerous for our country.
I still think she will get the nomination but hopefully it will be easier for the GOP person to beat her!

What is happening to Hillary is the same thing that happened to Howard Dean in 2004. Everyone jumps at a candidate including the media because they seem to be the star candidate. After months the enthusiasm for the candidate falls and people think to themselves "wait a second... there is more to listen to I shouldn't decide just yet." Its the typical situation where people pick too soon and then retract from their decision. This happened with the 2004 Republican candidate George W Bush but people realized their mistake too late. People know now that they must listen to everything before deciding if they like the candidate.

Because she is at the top of the polls and everyone realizes that they can't out run her, so they want to trip her up. This is the time in a campaign where the front runner has nothing to gain and everything to lose.
The other half of the equation is she is not taking a stance on certain issues and people are calling her on it. If she takes a stronger stance, it might make more people go to other candidates, but if she stays too quiet or dodges too many issues, people will go for someone who is more outspoken. It is a difficult balance keeping everyone happy.

I think it probably is that the attacks are working. Every democrat is gunning for her right now, and so are the Republicans.
The Republicans occasionally go after Obama, but not very often. On the other hand, every single one of the Republicans are attacking Hillary Clinton and so are the Democrats. Its beginning to take its toll.

multiple reasons--it is in the best interests of the media to have something new to say--secondly, republicans and talk radio villify her at least 18 hours a day--thirdly, in spite of the fact that the other democrats vowed not to make personal attacks, they are. over and over, we have seen that negativity works. and finally, i believe there is still a shadow sexism at play that flickers into peoples' consciousness, allowing them to guilt-free latch onto any reason to NOT approve of her. read the answers to your question and the excessive vitriole and emotion is almost rabid. oh, i understand one can disagree with her--i understand being disappointed in her strategy of not being pinned down. but please, with all the attacking going on, i'm not getting alot of position papers from the other candidates either. we are voting for a president--not a king or queen. that individual will need to negotiate with both sides of the aisle. if any candidate issues proclamations on complex issues now, there is no room to compromise and nothing will be accomplished and no one will be happy. look to the records of the candidates, read the speeches, and find a pattern of involvement in issues you feel are most important. i don't need to like her to respect her or even vote for her.

She isn't though.
If anything her numbers are gaining. People WISH her numbers would fall, but I haven't seen anything in the last month (up to this morning) that indicates anything but an upwards climb.
