I just adore Christmas trees and the decorations. I also enjoy driving about looking at the way people decorate outside their houses with all sorts of Christmas themes. Personally I wouldn't want their electrical bill after Christmas. I went a few years ago to Trafalgar Square just to see the tree.

The first thought that came to mind was my church (not any old church, it has to be my one!) because I teach the sunday school and we finally get the nativity play all over and done with which is always mucked up one way or the other and ends up with everyone laughing! And the church always has beautiful festivy flowers out and it all smells lovely and is warm and cosy, then on Christmas day I normally end up doing a reading or lighting the candle or something... I love christmas at my church! But I hate all the commercialism and the awkwardness.

My son's excitement about the whole thing from writing his letter to Santa to watching him open his presents. It's all still so magical for him.
We always spend Christmas day with the whole family, (my parents, siblings, their kids etc.) and that always makes it special too.
