your mom and dad always had enough money to make ends meet. I never remember them discussing about money, or talking about propblems, and we were extremely poor. 13 mouths to feed, never a complait and wonderful food, memories and good times

I didn't even find out until later how rough things were. I remember sometimes we'd have breakfast for supper. I never thought anything of it cause I always liked breakfast foods real well. Then I realized how much cheaper eggs and hash browns or pancakes are. It never crossed my mind until I got older. I also found out that the insurance didn't cover my mom's hospital bills for her stays in the hospital or for her chemotherapy and radiation etc. Dad never said a peep to any of us kids but I'm sure it must have been rough financially for him.

Im the youngest of 10, and I never thought about it really. My parents were pretty tight though. I remember that. We didnt always get what we wanted. My older brothers and sisters have told me stories about how Mom and Dad didnt have much money. Us younger kids had more than the older ones.*

yes!!!!! omg, there was only me, my sister and my mom and dad but my dad was the only one to work b/c it was my mom's "job" to keep the house clean and raise us. and every christmas my dad always managed to get us everything we wanted. i dont know how he did it. b/c he did not make much money at all. but i guess that's what parents do for their kids. now my dad is spoiling my 2 sons just the way he did me and my sister.

That's so nice!
I wish my family was like that. The last time we all had dinner at the same table, I was 9 years old.
