they do that, i know because my grandfather slaughters animals as a living. and no i'm not happy about his job!!!!!

You should see how the chinese kill animals for food, they step on them, rip their intestines and skin off when they're alive, leaving them half dead and beat them up before they're dead. They think this will make the meat more tasty.

Many people who work in that kind of environment are or have become desensitized to animals' feelings and therefore don't see them as beings capable of feeling pain. These people figure they're going to die anyway so what's the point? I know what you mean though. I became a vegetarian for this reason exactly. It's an atrocity what 'we' allow to happen. Farm animals are exempt from the animal welfare act so those who work at slaughterhouses can do whatever they want pretty much without being prosecuted for their heinous crimes. I hope those people burn in ****!! Thank you for bringing this up, it's a very important concern.

Most of the time the animal is killed before stuff gets cut off. Cows are killed according to FDA regulations as to do it a humanely as possible.
Also a pure vegetarian diet really lacks in protein, a basic substance that we have to have to survive.

my mom found a little book on the streets and it was about slaugthering animals and they showed pictures of them basically slaughtering animals I STARTED CRYING!! isn't it so bad what they also do to DOLPHINS in japan?? omg!! its like.. omg! i don't have words to describe! dolphins are probably the most gentle creatures they smile,do tricks they are so lovely! and then these japanesse people throw them in like a SHREADER!! they kill babies too!! its just CRUEL!!!!! i posted a site where it shows the WATER SO RED YOU COULD PAINT A PICTURE.. Animals are killed the way the FDA wants them killed, for our healthy eating. I'm sure people who work in slaughter houses are only doing their job.

If you want to be an anemic, wizen, rickett-ridden midget due to a unbalanced, one dimensional diet, be my guest.
Don't begrudge the rest of us a normal human diet.
BTW, PETA kills animals too, by the thousands. They dump pets at the local pound where they're gassed after 4 days. Livestock gets sold to slaughterhouses.
They've even left animals in garbage bags in dumpsters to suffocate.
Like all Veggie-Nazis,.. they are all a flashy show, so you don't see what they are really doing with those hefty donations.... like funding ELF, ALF, and Al Qaeda.
