Red, to me, is brazen, daring. Would not wear it to a funeral. Anything flashy that draws attention away from the departed and family probably not a good idea. I am not saying it cannot be done or should not be done, just saying......

Get your black coat from the cleaners and take it back after the funeral. Either that or buy another coat.

Red is never appropriate for a funeral. Perhaps you could ask a friend or family member to lend you a coat for the day?

I used to be a funeral director. If it keeps you warm, don't worry about it, it'll be fine. Trust me, I've seen all kinds of things. Once I saw a young guy come in wearing high heels!

then borrow your mom's, friends or neighbours but do not wear a red coat (especially if its super bright and it makes u stand out)
