Washing a new car is no different than washing an old car. The idea on both is to get them clean. lol

washing by hand is the best way to go, if you cannot in the winter then you should avoid the touchless car washes, the chemicals they use to wash the cars are much more harsh than the washes with brushes and they will typically strip the wax pretty quickly. I would suggest having the car detailed by a professional 2x per year, it can be expensive ($100-$150) but it pays for itself in the long term.

Find a touch-less car wash in your area or put on your winter hat and gloves and go to a car wash with the different settings. That way you do not have to put your hand in the water.

I always wash my cars at home, but then again I live in South East TX so winter's aren't that bad. I'd say take it to one of those brushless touchless car-washes, or pay to have it washed by hand

get a bucket and some water and a rag. summer water is good. but not in the winter. you will need winter water, good luck make sure too dry it with a dry towel.
