My little girl (age5) wants a cd player and cd's for christmas... she said she wants "girl music" (she has heard some songs of hilary duff and whatnot on disney) what are the best albums for her? I don't want her listening to anything like "boys boys" from britney or "dirrrrty" from christina- those girls were cute before they turned trashy... anyway any suggestions for pop music for her would be appreciated!

Hannah Montana? Or, those Kidsbop cd compilations. They have kids singing actual current pop/rock songs.

Hilary Duff, Hannah Montana, Carrie Underwood, JoJo, The Cheetah Girls. They have that Disney songs CD that the Disney actors sing like Ashley Tisdale

Hannah Montana, Cheetah Girls, the DisneyMania CDs. I have one more, I know it sounds bad, but the Naked Brothers Band.is a new show on Nickelodeon, and the kids in the band actually look like they might not be too much older than a 5 year old, so she might get a kick out of that. Hannah Montana seems to be all the rage these days. Some G rated soundtracks might be nice too. I believe there is a series of cds of pop tunes done by young kids... very safe.

kidzbop, (popular songs with edited lyrics sung by kids) disney channel stuff like jonas brothers, hannah montana, miley cyrus, high school musical, disney movie soundtracks, or you could get her an itunes card because they have a childrens music section
Edit: or one of those disney mania cd's, those have disney movie songs that are redone and sung by pop artists, still with the same lyrics

My 7 year old niece gets Hannah Montana, Jonas Brothers, Aaron Carter and Cheetah Girls from her mom and dad and myself.
