Being a top contributor on Yahoo! Answers is a weekly deal.
Every week you need to keep at least 10% best answer in a category, and at least have over 200 questions. You also need to have at least 200 points per week. If you do not keep these conditions within 1 week, then you lose your top contributor mark.

Answer to the point you are at a limit for one section. Do that once or twice and start lowering the number of times you answer because it'll become very stressful. You'll then soon realize you're a top contributor! Make sure you get best answers though, because just answering is useless.

You have to have at least a 15-20% best answer rate from a particular category. They stopped giving top contributer badges to polls and surveys users so stay away from P&S as much as possible. I had one for 2 weeks and then they ranked the plug on P&S badges.

What you should do is not answer questions like crazy. Answer some questions carefully and give the best answer you can give, because if you just keep answering random questions until you can't, your BA rate will go down, because you're not gonna get BA for every question. I'm at 6% right now (but if you scroll at my pic it says 7%)

You have a BA rate of 10% or more and you have to stay in that category many hours every week. It is recalculated for Mondays.

Pay Yahoo $25/month, so they can pick 10% of your answers for best answer. You must have 10% to be a top contributer.

focus on one of ur favourite section and answer as many questions as possible in a way that'll amaze everyone including the asker
