Laptop LCD screens are very expensive if you purchase them from the manufacture. If i were you, i'd do one of two things. The first is to sell the laptop on eBay as faulty, and put the money towards a new laptop, the second is to purchase an LCD screen for your laptop from eBay and either fit it your self or get a friend who's knowledgable of laptops to do it for you.
Before you make any decisions, ring HP and get a quote from them, however, i'm pretty sure they're going to quote you a rediculous amount of money.

Call HP support and ASK, depends where in the WORLD you are
Might be more cost effective to call it an upgrade and buy a whole new machine though

Generally it would be cheaper to buy a new laptop than to replace a broken LCD screen !!
