Need list of environmental health issues for health class!?

i.e. global warming, air pollution, etc.
need one of those and their effects on human health (specific)..for example air pollution and its effects on heart disease..but i need more...please help!!

A good topic would be the effect of pollution and the increase of asthma in parts of the US (like Queens--part of New York City). The pollutants in the air have contributed to the one of the highest asthma rates in the country. Here is a website to get you started, good luck!
